![]() ![]() A cohort can be recruited from a single company or can be a mixed cohort made up of students from a number of lumber manufacturing companies.Īt this point in time, the courses are not available on a one-off basis. The program is designed to be completed by a cohort of up to 24 students over a 12-month period. The program curriculum will include case-based and problem-based learning opportunities, delivered by lumber industry and business experts to students, which simulate real-world challenges, enabling students to apply their learning in meaningful and creative ways. The BOS program, as with the Associate Certificate in Industrial Wood Processing, will be delivered entirely online using BCIT’s learning management system, allowing students to learn while continuing to work for their employers without having to travel outside their communities. ![]() The Associate Certificate in the Business of Sawmilling (BOS) is designed to educate people currently employed in the industrial wood processing sector about essential business skills to enable them to seek advancement or greater opportunity as supervisors within their current organization.
